Is located 105 km north of Lima and protect special habitat where the winds coming from the Pacific Ocean. The abundant moisture creates a green oasis in one of the driest environments on the Peruvian coast. In this place you can see several endemic birds that will be our main objectives of our visit.

We left Lima very early. On the way we'll do some stops (Paradise Lagoon and beaches) where you can see Chilean Flamingo, Cinnamon Teal, Andean Coot, White-cheeked Pintail, Great Grebe and, depending on the season, many shorebirds such as Western Sandpiper, Least Sandpiper etc ... Arriving at Lomas de Lachay walk along the trails where you can find Canastero (endemic),


Burrowing Owl, Least Seedsnipe, Cinereous Harrier, Black-chested Buzzard-eagle, Mountain parakeet,Thick-billed Miner (endemic), Vermillion flycatcher, Grassland yellow-finch, Raimondi's Yellow-Finch (endemic), Tawny-throated Dotterel, Dark-faced ground-tyrant, Collared warbling-finch, Amazilia Hummingbird, Peruvian sheartail, Southern beardless Tyrannulet, Cinereous conebill, hooded Siskin, Aplomado Falcon and many more. We stay here about five hours, and then we return to Lima.
